Learn To Build A One-Page Website From Scratch With Brit
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
Learn the building blocks of HTML and CSS and how they work together to build the web. I will teach you how to create a good looking website with images, video, and a CSS-defined layout.
You will also get an understanding of the basic practices and concepts that are translatable to other programming languages and skills and the end of this Learning Experience, you will have built your very own website with a basic structure like this: http://brittanyhemming.com/DayThreeChallenge/.
I will also share with you what resources are available if you’d like to continue learning at home.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
This is a BYOD (bring your own device) event, you will need to bring your own laptop. Otherwise, just a good attitude and a willingness to learn. Please download atom before you come
GOOD TO KNOW:
This is a beginner friendly experience, meant for those with little to no experience building websites from scratch with HTML and CSS. If you are interested in learning how to code and what makes up the internet, then this is the workshop for you. HTML and CSS are the building blocks of all websites, and knowledge of them is a necessity, (a very handy one), if you are interested in things like web development, blogging, digital marketing, etc.
